When the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival has not yet completely dissipated, and the rich New Year flavor still lingers in the air, the Yuanxiao Festival steps forward with light and cheerful steps, joyfully arriving in the world.
Inside the house, the warm yellow light pours down. The family gathers around the steaming dining table, with happy smiles on everyone's faces. On the table are freshly cooked glutinous rice balls, each round and plump, looking like cute little dumplings. Gently scoop up one, take a careful bite, and the soft and glutinous skin wraps the sweet filling, bursting with a sweet taste on the tip of the tongue. This familiar flavor carries the warmth and memories of home, and every bite is a sincere expression of the reunion moment.
Stepping out of the house, the streets and alleys have already been transformed into a dreamlike world by the colorful lanterns. The lanterns are of various shapes and compete in beauty. The vivid animal lanterns seem as if they are about to leap out from the lantern paper, brimming with lively vitality; the round ball lanterns, illuminated by the light, emit a warm halo; and the auspicious lotus lanterns, gently moving with the water flow, bring forth beautiful blessings and wishes.
In front of the riddle guessing stalls, crowds of people are gathered with great enthusiasm. Some are frowning and concentrating on thinking about the riddles, while others suddenly have a flash of inspiration, shout out the answers with a proud smile on their faces. People around them also laugh and applaud together, creating an extremely lively atmosphere.
Not far away, the dragon and lion dance teams come marching along in a grand procession. Under the energetic performance of the dancers, the huge dragon sometimes winds and twists, sometimes soars with its head held high. Its vigorous posture and majestic momentum seem to break through the clouds, bringing good luck and vitality for the new year. Meanwhile, the lions jump up and down beside it, looking rather clumsy and adorable. Their lively appearance elicits rounds of applause from the audience, and the sound of camera shutters keeps clicking. Children excitedly shuttle through the crowd. This lively dragon and lion dance performance is not only the inheritance of traditional customs but also the full release of people's passion for life.
On this wonderful occasion, I sincerely wish everyone a life as round and full as the glutinous rice balls, smooth and worry free. No matter what lies ahead, I hope everyone will be surrounded by warmth and happiness. May the moon be full, people be reunited, and everything go well; may the flowers be beautiful and the lanterns shine brightly year after year. May the beauty and blessings of this festival accompany everyone through the years, filling every ordinary day with hope and light.
